Assistant Director (Legal)
NADRA is looking for an experienced legal professional who can provide legal and regulatory support to the organization and assist senior management in matters relating to laws, policies, compliance and legal frameworks.
The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of Pakistani laws and excellent legal research, drafting and opinion-writing skills.
Qualification Required
Candidates must possess an LL.B or Bar at Law qualification.
The position requires a minimum of 16 years of education.
The degree must be verified/attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the relevant regulatory body.
Candidates holding foreign qualifications must fulfill the applicable equivalency requirements.
Experience Required
Applicants must have at least 2 years of post-qualification professional experience.
Preference will be given to candidates having 5 years or more of relevant experience.
Candidates with strong experience in legal research, regulatory compliance, policy matters and legal drafting may be better suited to the requirements of the position.
Responsibilities and Skills
The Assistant Director (Legal) will support the drafting and revision of rules, regulations and legal frameworks for government approval.
The position will also assist in implementing compliance frameworks relating to data protection, privacy and security regulations.
The selected candidate will conduct legal research and provide analysis of national and international laws affecting NADRA’s functions.
The role includes monitoring adherence to regulatory requirements and assisting with legal and regulatory risk assessments.
The successful candidate will collaborate with government agencies, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of policies and regulatory requirements.
The candidate will prepare reports, recommendations and legal documents to support senior management in decision-making.
The position will also require preparation of legal opinions concerning policy, compliance and regulatory matters.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of Pakistani laws related to citizenship, registration, data protection and privacy.
Excellent legal research, analytical, legal drafting and opinion-writing skills are required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for the position is 40 years.

Probation Period
