1. Information Architect (AVP / VP)
National Bank of Pakistan is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Information Architect (AVP / VP) in Karachi.
Qualification
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent from an HEC recognized university.
- Graduation with a Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent from a local or international university recognized by HEC will also be considered.
- Relevant professional certifications will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the field of IT.
- At least 3 years of experience in Information Architecture or Data Modeling and/or Enterprise Architecture, preferably in the banking sector.
Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.
- Hands-on experience in data modeling, information governance and architecture documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into enterprise-level information models.
- Knowledge of regulatory, risk and compliance requirements in the banking sector.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the Enterprise Information Architecture vision, principles, standards and roadmap.
- Develop and maintain As-Is and To-Be information architecture blueprints aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Ensure adherence to recognized enterprise architecture frameworks including TOGAF and Zachman.
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical and high-level physical data models.
- Establish and manage enterprise-wide data domains, master data and reference data structures.
- Establish and enforce data ownership and stewardship models.
- Define and implement information governance policies, standards and controls.
- Ensure compliance with State Bank of Pakistan regulatory requirements and data confidentiality and privacy standards.
- Assist internal and external audit, risk and compliance reviews related to information assets.
- Develop and maintain enterprise information architecture principles, design patterns and reusable artifacts.
- Review and manage architecture deviations in line with approved governance processes.
- Review BRDs, FRDs, RFPs and solution designs from an information architecture perspective.
- Provide architectural guidance to project and development teams on data integration and data flow consistency.
- Design and maintain enterprise-wide data flow diagrams and integration patterns.
- Identify opportunities for data modernization, analytics enablement and AI readiness.
- Perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor.
2. Manager Administration – IT (IT Strategy Management) (AVP / VP)

Qualification
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent from an HEC recognized university.

- Relevant professional certifications in IT Governance, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Digital Transformation or Strategic Management will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the field of IT.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT Strategy and/or IT Security, preferably in the banking sector.

- Strong understanding of IT strategy development, technology roadmap planning and digital transformation.
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and strategic planning methodologies.
- Ability to develop short-term and long-term IT strategies and technology roadmaps.
- Knowledge of frameworks and standards such as ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF and project management practices.
- Ability to lead teams, manage strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous review of the Bank’s IT strategy.
- Ensure alignment of IT initiatives with the Bank’s business objectives and digital transformation agenda.
- Formulate and maintain enterprise-wide IT strategic roadmaps and technology plans.
- Collaborate with business units, IT Wings and senior management to identify strategic technology priorities.
- Translate business requirements into actionable IT initiatives.
- Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends and innovation opportunities.
- Establish and monitor IT strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards and governance frameworks.
- Support executive management in evaluating IT investment proposals and technology initiatives.
- Prepare strategic reports, presentations and management information for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate enterprise-wide strategic planning activities and ensure alignment between IT initiatives, budgeting, governance and organizational priorities.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s IT Governance Framework, regulatory requirements and strategic planning standards.
- Mentor and guide team members while fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
- Perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor.
Employment Type
The employment will be on a contractual basis for three years, which may be renewed on the discretion of the management. Selected candidates will be offered a competitive compensation package and other benefits according to the Bank’s policy and rules.
